In accordance with health service regulations, Renaissance thermostatic showers are factory set to allow a maximum temperature selection of 43 degrees. It has been demonstrated this is the highest temperature bodies can be safely exposed to whilst showering and avoid any potential risk of scalding.

In the unlikely event that temperature selection can not be maintained the valve will shut off the water supply in under one second, ensuring the user is totally protected from potentially harmful water temperatures, once conditions return to normal the shower will automatically restart.
